Character's Full Name:"Father" Rorinar Burgress
In Game Name: Rorinar
Race: Human
Class: Formerly priest, currently rogue.
Age: 37
Appearance: Rorinar is a weathered middle aged man who's obviously seen better days. His graying hair coupled with heavy frown lines leave him looking a good deal older than he is. The rogue's hair is worn in a short, conservative manner and he boasts a well trimmed goatee that he often strokes while in thought. He's a bit on the short side at 5'8" and looks as if he'd crumple under anything heavier than leather armor.
Personality: Rorinar is the outcome of a childhood spent working on a farm and an adult life in the monastery. He has a gruff, no-nonsense disposition despite having spent the better part of his life in the priesthood. However, spending so much time in and around a church has instilled him with an (often conflicted) desire to help others. Having been a firsthand witness to the violence of the First War and beyond, Rorinar's conviction began to falter and he fell into a period of self-doubt and loathing. He's grumpy.
Background: Born a Westfall Boy, Rorinar was no stranger to hard labor and strict discipline. When he came of age, his parents "urged" him to seek out the Archbishop of the newly rebuilt Stormwind and begin his scholarly training. The first few years of life in the city were generally spent avoiding the very thing he was sent to do. He fell in with an undesirable lot for a short while before suffering an injury that nearly cost Rorinar his life. Once the desire to rebel was out of his system, he fell in line and became relatively successful as a Confessor and priest, until recently. Rorinar became increasingly strained when calling on the Holy Light until, one day, it no longer answered him. Plagued by a life of doubt, this was the final straw that sent him into a downward spiral of drinking, smoking, and falling into old habits. He still appears around the Cathedral from time to time, as if intending to return.
Why would your character join Kamil te Kar? Rorinar maintained a few connections from his days on the streets and is relatively up-to-date with the goings-on in the underworld. Seeing nowhere else for himself to go, Rorinar would join to keep himself from going mad and to feel useful once again. Some part of his might think he can help the "troubled, lost children of the Light" as well, but that's probably just the years spent in an abbey talking.
Where do you think your character would fit in with the Kamil te Kar? Rorinar would probably be best suited to the Research or Sales department thanks to his connections with the Church and his background as a confessor.
What does this character have to offer to the Kamil te Kar? As mentioned above, Rorinar would easily be able to get dirt on clergymen. He'd keep an eye open for the ideal customers; the downtrodden and desperate and relay them to the Kamil. Finally, if a snitch were to go to the Cathedral for forgiveness or protection, Rorinar would be among the first to know. And who doesn't need a sympathetic ear every now and then? Even if it is feigned sympathy!

Are you 18 or older? Yes.
What are you applying for? (Guild membership, associate, enemy, etc.) Guild Membership!
Do you have an already existing alt on WrA that we might already be acquainted with? If so, who? My most recent character was Kazuda, a troll shaman who was in Fury of the Warchief for a while. Other than that, Argolos/Sinthekk, Sathir, Zentu, and Guzul are all mine.
Is this character an alt of an already existing member? If so, who? Nope.
Tell us a bit about yourself: I'm 20 years old, attending college full time during the fall and winnter and work in road construction during the spring and summer. I live with my girlfriend of 5 years and spend my off time playing WoW. I've been roleplaying for 10 years (if you can call the first few years "roleplaying" >>), but haven't done a whole lot in the last six or so months and intend to get back into it.
How did you hear about Kamil te Kar: I've been following the member blogs on WRAnet since last fall and saw the guild around Stormwind quite a bit.
Pie or cake: Pie. Apple pie. Mmm.
Notes: Rorinar is only level 10 at the moment, but I'll be making good use of the 2 weeks of RAF I have left.
Margolo and I are applying jointly, even though our characters don't know each other. Just a heads up!
